Author Biography
LaDean Griffin was born in 1925 in Ogden, UT and raised in California. Her interest in natural health began at a young age through the influence of a father who believed in the healing power of faith. Her father's interest in the controversial division between natural medicine and drugs in the late 1920's and early 1930's stimulated her to study both sides along with her father. She tap danced as a little girl and was thrilled when her Dad introduced her to Fred Astaire. Later she worked as a professional model. She was a Goldwyn girl and also worked in Hollywood with the likes of Al Jolson, Cary Grant, and Ronald Reagan. Her father, J.M. Gibby, was an author and she quoted him many times in her books. LaDean married young, raising 6 children while pursuing her study and practice of natural health. She worked with several naturopathic doctors and chiropractors and learned much through observation, training and experience. The number of people who came to her for advice and help prompted LaDean to begin lecturing, followed by the publication of her first book, Is Any Sick Among You? At 90 years old, LaDean boasts of not having a pain in her body.
